HVO

Also called hydrotreated vegetable oil, renewable diesel

A paraffinic diesel made by reacting vegetable oils, waste oils or animal fats with hydrogen. It is chemically almost identical to the hydrocarbons in fossil diesel, contains no oxygen and can be used neat. In the United States it is usually called renewable diesel.
