Emissions

Also called greenhouse gas emissions

Releases of heat-trapping gases, chiefly carbon dioxide (CO₂), methane (CH₄) and nitrous oxide (N₂O). In lifecycle accounting they are converted into a single CO₂-equivalent figure.
