Blue hydrogen

Hydrogen made from natural gas with the CO₂ captured and stored. Its real footprint depends on how much CO₂ is actually captured and how much methane leaks upstream. At 93 percent capture and 0.2 percent leakage it cuts emissions about 75 percent versus grey; operating plants such as Quest and Port Arthur capture only 50 to 60 percent.
